Telemarketing Whilst Working From Home

Working from home has become a reality for most of us in the UK in industries that can allow for it, including the telemarketing industry. Although, the nature of telemarketing requires full focus and attention, something that can be hard to maintain as well whilst working from home with unpredictable distractions surrounding you. In the spirit of the second lockdown we are sharing some tips on how to maintain the same professionalism whilst telemarketing from home.
SHUT OUT DISTRACTIONS
It is really important that during working hours you are free of distraction as much as possible, especially when you are taking or making calls throughout your day. Obviously, as we are all going through the same thing, your customer will understand a level of background noise, but keeping that to a minimum will allow you to focus and keep the attention of your customer too.
USE THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT
Using the right equipment will benefit your work from home experience, keeping it as close to the office environment you are used to at your usual place of work. Making sure you have all the right equipment and that your employer supplies adequate equipment is essential for your work from home venture to run smoothly.
TIP TOP TECH
Making sure you’re up to scratch when it comes to technology at home is important, make sure your wifi is offering good strength and that you have the capabilities to run the right programmes and apps on your desktop or laptop. Many companies will provide these resources for you, but if not you will need to make sure that you can come out on top with your technology to not only make your job possible, but make your life easier too, you don’t need any unnecessary stress with a wifi connection when we’re already dealing with a global pandemic.
HAVE A ROUTINE
The most important thing you will need to master is a good routine when you are working from home, which can be hard as motivation can be hard to channel when you’re spending days and days locked inside. Setting yourself a schedule and a routine will really help you to keep it together during these difficult times, making times for breaks and regular exercise is essential to being successful in your work too.
