Don’t be told you are good at selling!

Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird – it’s an old proverb but it certainly rings true in the world of telemarketing.
If a prospective customer sees a telemarketer as a salesperson on the other end of the phone then it really is going to be an uphill battle convincing them to listen.
People like to talk to people not to be sold to. If anyone says you are a good sales person then usually you won’t sell to them!
