How to reduce stress on the sales floor
Work-related stress will affect different employees in different ways, and the sales industry is undeniably a stress-inducing environment to be in, so making sure you are doing everything to reduce those stress levels to deploy a happy, motivated and proactive sales team is essential not only for the success of your business but for your employee’s wellbeing too.
According to a study by Health and Safety Executive, the total number of cases of work-related stress, depression or anxiety in 2020/21 was 822,000, a prevalence rate of 2,480 per 100,000 workers, proving that the chances are high for your employees to suffer with stress in their role and we must all do our bit to reduce those rates.

Building good connections and relationships between your employees is another really important factor in having a successful, stress free team on the sales and telemarketing floor.
Offering team building exercises to grow and strengthen those bonds on the sales floor is essential and will leave your employees knowing you have their best interests at heart, which will help will stress in the working environment.

Making sure your employees are taking regular breaks away from their screens and the pressures of the working environment is so important in reducing the work related stress they could be experiencing.
Getting some time away from the sales floor to refresh and rest during a busy shift can have so many benefits in improving motivation and productivity, which in turn ensures the quality of their work is top notch as well as their wellbeing.
PRIORITISE
Prioritising what needs to be done and having a clear set of objectives and targets will stop your employees from getting frustrated and procrastinating as a result of poor planning.
Failure to prioritise what is most to least important to achieve will not only be unproductive in the best interests of the business but can cause a lot of stress to employees, so making the priorities, objectives and targets as clear as possible will keep your team organised and stop them from struggling to know where to start or what to do next.
