No calling after 8pm or before 8am is a general rule that most telemarketing companies and businesses work by.
DON’T PUSH PEOPLE…
Obviously it’s important to gain interest and sales from customers, however, if a prospect is not interested or busy from the first point of contact, remove them from your list or arrange a call back at a more suitable time. Hassling and pressuring customers into committing to something in an aggressive manner will get you nowhere, and although your prospect will remember you, it will be for all the wrong reasons. If a customer asks to be taken off your database do so immediately, without question, not only is this imperative to sift out those not interested, it is also the law.
BE POLITE AT ALL TIMES…
Having and using manners costs absolutely nothing, and in telemarketing it could cost you a customer if you do not use your manners well. Being polite will enable you to have better control of the call and can defuse doubts and aggression from the other end of the phone. Remaining polite and well mannered no matter the outcome of the call, will leave the customer with a sense of satisfaction and leave an impression, whether they decide to use your product/service or not.
