E-mail shots – Do you read them?
February 4, 2010
We all get e-mails offering products and services. The question is do these E-mails do the job they are intended to do or do many of them end up deleted before even being read. My own view is as well as a clear identification as to where they came from the subject line usually denotes whether or not it is going to get read or deleted. The more random or abstract the subject the more likely it is going to end up in the trash.

Technology improves work prospects for visually impaired.
February 3, 2010
Computer technology now gives those with visual impairments a better chance of getting employment. On screen enhancements have been around for years giving the user the opportunity to change text size, colour and the inclusion of on screen keyboards. Improvements in voice recognition technology give those with a visual impairment even more access to better jobs. More and more companies are now aware of accessibility making their websites accessible to the visually impaired with the inclusion of features such as alternative text and the use of WC3 sites to validate their websites comply to Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) standards.
