As a telemarketing consultant I attended a speed networking event yesterday and am not yet clear as to it’s value. Has anyone attended similar events to this and how useful have you found them to be?

I’ve never been to one but I always imagine that you get to spend ten minutes talking to each person and trying to let them know all about your business, while at the same time the person you are talking to is thinking “when are they going to stop speaking and listen to my ten minute pitch!” Or is that just me being cynical? So, did you make some good contacts from your go at this? And where was it held by the way?
